Human Evolution Timeline

       1.  What's been the role of climate change in the development of humans?

Climate change allowed the evolution of the species by modifying its aspects so that it could resist the weather conditions.

2. In your opinion, what is the most significant milestone for the human evolution? Why?

I think that the most significant milestone is when the species begins to have thoughts and behave, the transition from being an animal to a species with reasonable thought becomes more “human”.

3. Which early human species was thought to be the first to use tools made from stone?

Homo habilis, this species was thought to represent the first stone toolmaker. Currently, the oldest stone tools are dated slightly older than the oldest evidence of the genus Homo.

4. Who were the first human species to travel to and live in Europe? When?

Homo heidelbergensis, About 700,000 to 200,000 years ago.These were the first early humans to venture into the cold latitudes of Europe, where there is evidence that they were the first species to build shelters and hunt big game and European populations of this species were the direct ancestors of the Neanderthals.

5. Which species survived for the longest time? For how long?

Homo erectus, It was the longest-lived species on our family tree, surviving more than nine times as long as our own species.
